About Oliver

I am a musician and specialist in early keyboard instruments, combining practical expertise with artistic insight.

With over two decades of experience in tuning, maintenance, and technical support for harpsichords, fortepianos, clavichords, and continuo organs, I work with leading orchestras, festivals, ensembles and solo artists across the UK and Europe.

I’ve been fortunate to work behind the scenes on numerous concerts and recordings, and supporting musicians with reliable instruments they can trust. My work has featured on CD productions for the Early Opera Company, Julian Perkins, Café Zimmermann, and Handel House, among others. I’ve provided and tuned instruments for projects with the BBC - including BBC Radio 3’s In Tune and BBC Young Artist recordings with Mahan Esfahani and Elizabeth Watts.

Over the years, I’ve worked with many leading ensembles, festivals, and venues including:

  • Royal Opera House, Glyndebourne Opera, The English Concert, Ensemble Molière, Apollo’s Cabinet, Irish Baroque Orchestra, Irish Heritage, the Mozartists and the Monteverdi Choir and Orchestra

  • International collaborations with Orchestre de Théâtre de Clérmont-Ferrand (directed by Robert Levin), Le Concert des Nations (Jordi Savall), and performances in France and Belgium

  • Regular tuning and maintenance for Handel House’s collection, as well as the fortepianos by Paul McNulty at Wigmore Hall. I also regularly visit Guildhall School of Music & Drama and Smith Square Hall, London

I’ve also had the privilege of working with renowned artists such as Sir András Schiff, Robert Levin, Angela Hewitt, Alexander Melnikov, Alexei Lubimov, Olga Pashchenko, Viktoria Mullova, Cédric Tiberghien, Kristian Bezuidenhout, Jean Rondeau, and Nathaniel Mander, to name just a few.

I care deeply about helping musicians feel at ease with their instruments. Whether it’s for a rehearsal, a recording session, or the stage of a major concert hall, my focus is always on reliability, patience, and making sure the instrument is at its absolute best.
